St. Elizabeth’s was established in 1973 as a non-profit company. In January 2000, St Elizabeth’s Pre Primary School became an independent school, with no funding received from the Kwa-Zulu Natal Department of Education. Now, it is a Private Christian School that caters for children from 2 years until they enter formal education at six years of age. Although we are a private school, we follow the government timetable regarding the school terms.
Our motto, St. Lizzies, where we learn about life, through love and laugher sums up the school perfectly as we strive to create a fun, loving environment where all children can thrive and reach their full potential.
MISSION STATEMENT
St. Elizabeth’s Pre-Primary School will provide a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment in which each child will reach their full potential. This will be achieved by focusing on the intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of each child.
VISION
- To be leaders in pre-primary education, preparing children for formal learning in the Foundation Phase, allowing for a smooth transition from Pre-Primary into Junior Primary School.
- To maintain family values with a strong Christian ethos.
The teaching staff is composed of the principal, four teachers and two assistant teachers – all of whom hold teaching qualifications. The education programme is of a very high standard and staff keep up to date with all new developments in education.
